Update on COVID-19 Pandemic
Please be advised that in response to the current COVID-19 Pandemic and in accordance with recommendations from New Brunswick's chief medical officer and the New Brunswick Dental Society, our clinic will be suspending all routine and elective dental/periodontal procedures.
At this time, as per these recommendations, only dental emergencies will be addressed. A true dental emergency is defined as " trauma, significant infection or prolonged bleeding or pain that cannot be managed by over the counter remedies". If you feel you are dealing with such an event please leave a message on our office phone line (506-848-5131) and Dr MacDonald will be in contact with you.
If you currently have a scheduled appointment with our clinic we will be contacting you to reschedule this appointment. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause however we must heed the recommendations of federal and provincial public health officials to minimize the spread of this virus and keep our patients, staff, and families as safe as possible.
As you are aware this situation is ever evolving, and we hope to reschedule all appointments as soon as possible based on Public Health and NBDS guidelines.

March 26, 2020 COVID-19 Update
In accordance with our provincial dental regulatory body as well as the Emergency Measures Act, MacDonald Periodontics will remain closed in response to the COVID 19 pandemic. I’m sure most of our patients are fully aware of our closure, but we wanted to ensure that any patients who had previously scheduled appointments with our clinic were aware of our closure. Our closure will remain in effect, until such time that Public Health officials, and our provincial regulatory body, deem it is safe for patients as well as staff to resume treatment. Our priority, like yours, is to keep our community and loved ones safe, and to stop the spread of COVID 19. Any patients who require appointments rescheduled will be contacted at a later date and given priority for rescheduling of treatment.
Please listen to the recommendations by our public health officials and abide by the recommendations for social distancing, staying at home, and frequently washing your hands. We all have a role to play in mitigating the spread of this virus.
A special thank you to those health care workers, including some of our own staff, who are tirelessly working to help those patients in need, as well as all those essential service workers that are so vitally important.
Rest assured the staff here at MacDonald Periodontics will be here for any of your periodontal and dental implant needs in the future, and in the case of emergency during the current situation we can reached by leaving a message on the office phone line (506-848-5131). These messages are checked every morning around 10am.
